Capital Projects
Program Overview
The PPRTA capital projects are 72 specifically named transportation improvements that were listed in the ballot measure in November 2004. The 72 projects are divided into an “A” group of 45 projects, then a “B” group of 16 projects, followed by a “C” group of 11 projects. These projects must be completed in the A-B-C sequence. Fifty-five percent of the PPRTA funding is allocated for capital projects. The City of Manitou Springs and the Town of Green Mountain Falls each received one capital project, while the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County divide the balance of the funding for their listed capital projects.
